![]() There are cases where the VDI goes to a Black Screen. In about 30 seconds you can go to Start…Printers and see your printer. Then log right back into that same pool and all your apps are there where they were, docs still open, draft emails with the cursor blinking where it was. If you can’t print local, you will not print from the VDI. While the VDI is down, check to see if your printer is enabled on the local machine. If you don’t remember the Pool you’re in, minimize the VDI and the pool is on the task bar. First, note which pool (D7, D7P or N8) you are in. We find that in most cases it can be resolved quickly by disconnect and exiting the VDI, (DO NOT CLOSE YOUR APPS). The intermittent “my printer does not appear” problem has been frustrating. You can change PCoIP to blast to run the VDI without VMWare Horizon client, but not on multiple monitors. Do NOT save your PW in the browser! Click the Desktop on the line of your pool. You may resolve this by logging into with the Chrome browser. It’s quite frustrating when the VMWare Horizon Client prompts repeatedly for your password. Please LOG OFF of the VDI when you will be gone more than 1 hour or if you are moving to another “pool” like D7 to D7. ![]() Note that Auto-saved files are not in the same location that the original file was, your continued changes there don’t get on the T:\ drive and are not backed up!
